Immediately following the September 11 attacks, Carolyn became an active member of T.L.C. (Trial Lawyers Care); an organization formed to provide pro bono legal representation to the families of World Trade Center Victims.
As the attorney for the students at the State University of New York, Carolyn successfully worked to change the law so that students could claim their dormitory address as a domicile for voting purposes, thereby changing the political landscape in national and local elections.
